Oscar Diaz-VITA Program

BAP Director of VITA Oscar Diaz and Assistant Director Diana Tol Garcia have been working hard to provide the community of Chico and surrounding communities with free tax preperation. With the help of Chico State Accounting students volunteering for this program, they have built a successful team to provide this free tax prep.

The Delta Zeta Chapter achieved Superior status for 2017 – 2018

Chico State’s Delta Zeta Chapter has achieved superior status! This is not an easy feat to accomplish as superior chapters are required to meet 32 minimum hours of Professional and Service activities per member/candidate of their chapter.

Fred and June Lucchesi Memorial Scholarship

California State University, Chico’s College of Business has received an endowment of $50,000 to establish the Fred and June Lucchesi Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship was established by the surviving children of Fred and June Lucchesi.

Chico State Professional Accounting Certificate:

The Professional Accounting Certificate at Chico State is to help students reach the 150 units needed to obtain CPA licensure.

The Leadership award in career advancement has been given to our VP Tech, Fernando Cordova due to his success with coordinating recruiting efforts with accounting firms and accounting students.
