Meet the Officers: Todd O’Neill

As the president of Chico State’s Beta Alpha Psi Chapter, Todd is the face of our organization. Not only is Todd the president of BAP but he also has a spring internship with K-Coe Isom working in their tax division. He is also busy with the responsibility of supporting his family.

During the summer, Todd started with K-Coe Isom as an audit intern. He Assisted with school audits, employee benefit plan audits, and also set up a banking engagement. Todd’s ultimate goal is to be a practicing CPA and work his way to partner. Todd also hopes to add the CMA certification under his belt in order to be able to translate internal reporting to external reporting. “As long as I'm in a position to add value to a company I'm happy.  Nothing would make my day more than a client walking away thanking me for my work, especially if it's not the best news.”  Todd is reminded of his goals of helping people since he is stationed right outside a partner's office at K-Coe Isom.  Clients typically appreciate you guiding them through the process regardless of the financial outcome.

With the K-Coe Isom internship, school and sitting as the BAP president, Todd has quite a busy schedule packed in. With family responsibilities, Todd gets to learn about work life balance while still in school. Becoming an accountant and striving for the coveted CPA license takes hard work. Todd picked accounting when arriving to Chico because he knew he wanted to be involved in the business world. Getting to know business leaders and becoming involved in business transactions is what interests Todd. Todd makes time to do the things he enjoys, such as playing Fantasy Football, traveling the Northwest coast, and good drinks with good friends. Staying in Chico is important to Todd because this is where he grew up and this is where his kids are rooted.
