It all started when…
The “Big Four” accounting firms have high standards when it comes to recruiting, and KPMG is no exception. California State University, Chico’s very own Beta Alpha Psi officer Samantha Kopp completed a tax internship with the San Francisco firm this past summer.
During this time, she applied for KPMG’s master’s program in accounting with data analytics, and was one of only 60 individuals to be accepted into the program. Kopp will be attending the University of Mississippi’s Patterson School of Accountancy beginning in August 2019, and will graduate with a Master of Taxation and Data Analytics the following year.
As a KPMG-sponsored student, Kopp will receive full funding for her degree, complete a spring internship with KPMG’s tax advisory team, and begin as a full-time staff in the fall of 2020.
Kopp currently serves the CSU, Chico Beta Alpha Psi club as the director of membership and is in charge of planning socials and events for our students each semester. Kopp is also a member of Delta Sigma Pi and works part-time as a bookkeeper. She will graduate from CSU, Chico in May with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minor in management information systems.
We are proud to have such a motivated and hardworking student like Samantha Kopp in our program, and we can’t wait to see her go far in her career!
